To-point or To-touch?

This project is a research experiment conducted to explore the possibilities of designing a healthcare system for rural population with the use of gesture enabled interfaces. It developed two interaction method, a) touch your body part to select (body centric gestures) b) point to select. Later, it compares these two interaction methods with conducting a user testing session with 37 users with diverse background on literacy and age.

This experiment is conducted with visiting researcher, Sumita Sharma from the University of Tampere, Finland. It was conducted in conjunction with Speech-based & Pervasive Interaction Group (SPI), University of Tampere, IBM Research Labs, India and EILab.
